This was the first Van Halen CD I purchased as I came of age in the 90s, as I otherwise was into Grunge/Alt Rock. Let’s appreciate what a hard-charging opening track this is for the album. Agree with your comments about it being an epic journey/quest. Sammy deserves props for his lyrics, as they’re compelling and open to interpretation by the listener. I lean more toward Dave era, but this is Sammy at his best and the replay value is high.
